New York: a Certificate of Disposition needs the case, not just a name

    Use the County Clerk record tools to locate as much case information as possible.

    Request the certificate

    Submit the Criminal Certificate of Disposition request with the case identifiers and the published $5 fee.

    Expect court preparation

    The Clerk submits the request to Supreme/County Court, which prints, stamps, and seals the certificate.

    The Clerk guidance says that is not enough for this disposition form; use the separate Criminal History Record Search process instead.

New York remote image access changed in 2026

Guest search still works, images are different

After April 1, 2026, the Monroe County subscription page says guest users may still search and view indexing, but viewing document images within that index requires a paid subscription. Public computer terminals in the County Clerk’s Office continue to provide full viewing access to images and indexing at no cost. Plan for that distinction if the image—not just the index—is necessary.
